Martin selected to represent New Zealand at FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup
The Otago Nuggets are thrilled to announce that one of their own, Christian Martin, has been selected to represent New Zealand in the upcoming FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup.
The tournament, set to take place in Singapore, will see Martin don the 3x3 Tall Blacks jersey alongside his teammates as they compete against the best 3x3 basketball talent in Asia, with the long-term goals of medalling at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, and future Olympic Games qualification.
Martin’s selection is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and exceptional skills on the court. As a versatile forward, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure, making him a valuable asset to both the Nuggets and the national team.
Angela Ruske, General Manager of the Otago Nuggets, expressed her pride in Martin’s selection.

The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2025 will be held from March 26 to 30, at Singapore’e OCBC Square, with the 3x3 Tall Blacks aiming to improve on their fourth-place finish at the 2024 event,
The 3x3 Tall Blacks have been drawn in Pool D alongside Qatar and the winner of Qualifying Group D, which includes Thailand, Turkmenistan, Vietnam and New Caledonia.
